Todd Wood

Todd Wood is a dedicated music instructor with six years of experience teaching and playing in the Atlanta area before recently moving to Vallejo. In Atlanta, Todd performed with a number of ensembles including the Georgia Philharmonic, the Georgia Wind Symphony, Terminus Ensemble, and various chamber and small ensembles. He taught masterclasses and sectionals throughout the Metro area and was on staff for the Kennesaw State University “Marching Owls”. His students consistently earned chairs in honor and state ensembles as well as superior ratings in Solo and Ensemble evaluations.

Todd earned a Bachelor's of Music Composition and a Master's of Music in Trombone Performance from Georgia State University. His primary teachers include Brent Milam and Dr. Nickitas Demos for composition, and Dr. Cory Mixdorf and Dr. William Mann for trombone. In 2018 Todd was selected to attend the Third Coast Trombone Retreat in Whitehall, MI and in 2019 he was selected to perform at the Round Top Festival Institute in Round Top, TX.
