Anthony Alameda

Guitar

Hi, my name is Anthony Alameda. I’ve been playing guitar and bass for 20 years with over a decades experience teaching. As a form of expression and communication which predates spoken language, I believe music is a vital part of all our lives. It is something which connects us all with each other, transcending language and cultural differences. This sort of understanding and passion is at the heart of how I approach my students.
I am comfortable teaching students of all ages, skill levels, and musical interests. Although I do have a particular specialty with rock and metal music, I love teaching students their chosen instrument through their specific bands/artists that they love. From Pop to Country, Blues, Jazz and everything in between, I want lessons to be fun and specific to your interests/skill levels. As a musician in a band myself, I also have a deep passion for creation and collaboration, and for any student wanting to write their own music I can help you find ways to create your own, original music.
I also attended Solano Community College from which I received an Associates Degree in Music with an emphasis on Performance, giving me a strong understanding of music fundamentals and theory. I apply these to my lessons for all my students, but for any student interested in learning how to read music I’ve got you covered.
I thoroughly enjoy music history and use this as a way of deepening my students understanding and passions as well as broadening their horizons to other bands/artists. I also love talking music gear and can give recommendations based on your needs and wants.
Thank you for considering me as a part of your musical journey, and I look forward to sharing in the growth and learning with you.
